Guggenheim's Wright Restaurant Now Open for Events
The Wright Restaurant, located in the landmark Guggenheim Museum on New York's Upper East Side, is now available as a venue for corporate and social events. With catering from Restaurant Associates, the Wright can accommodate up to 60 for a seated lunch or dinner and up to 75 for a cocktail reception, management says. The restaurant is located within a striking, 1,600-square-foot space inspired by the original Frank Lloyd Wright-designed museum. It is available for receptions and dinners Sunday through Wednesday and for daytime events Thursdays when the museum is closed.
Maxwell Hotel Debuts in Seattle
The Maxwell Hotel, located at the base of Queen Anne hill adjacent to the Seattle Center in Seattle, opened last month. The property features 139 guest rooms, an indoor pool, an exercise facility, an espresso bar, 1,600 square feet of meeting space and 3,000 square feet of ground floor retail space. The hotel is located on Roy Street between Third Avenue North and Nob Hill Avenue in downtown Seattle, just steps away from a number of arts venues including the Seattle Opera, Pacific Northwest Ballet, SIFF Cinema and Intiman Theatre.
Ritz-Carlton at L.A. LIVE Opens
The "final piece" of the mammoth L.A. LIVE complex in downtown Los Angeles is in place with the opening of the Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles this month. For event and meeting planners, the new hotel offers the Gallery Collection—the nearly 100,000-square-foot meetings and events venue that connects to both the Ritz-Carlton and the JW Marriott. Featuring three ballrooms, nine ancillary meeting rooms and three boardrooms, the Gallery Collection is designed to offer the most comprehensive meetings space in Los Angeles, management says. The Ritz-Carlton is located near to Staples Center, the Nokia Theatre and the Grammy Museum.
