The eco-chic bride who wants a truly one-of-a-kind gown has a new best friend: designer Deborah Lindquist. Trained at the renowned Parsons School of Design in New York, Lindquist creates one-of-a-kind wedding gowns, bustiers and other garments from a mix of both recycled and new sustainable and organic fabrics.
A far cry from handmade homely, creations from Lindquist can combine fabrics such as vintage cashmere and organic linen aimed at an upscale, cutting-edge client. Her client list includes such high-wattage celebrities as Sharon Stone, Pink, Jessica Alba, Christina Aguilera and Rihanna.
She also creates pillows, cards and even bathing suits.
To top it all off, a portion of the proceeds of her business are donated to environmentally conscious organizations.
