Nicholas Zazzera takes on a big new role at DECO Productions.

Nicholas Zazzera, formerly senior account executive, has been appointed president of Miami-based DECO Productions. The company is included on the latest Special Events “25 Top DMCs.”

New York-based INVNT has announced the acquisition of Folk Hero, a New York-based brand strategy firm that works with first including Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy, Calzedonia Group and Purple Mattress, as well as organizations in the banking and financial services sector.

Ori Lahav, vice president clients and operations at Geneva-based Kenes Group, has been elected president of the International Association of Professional Congress Organisers.

Kat Winfield, formerly venue sales manager at London’s BMA House, has been promoted to venue manager.

Austin, Texas-based Caplan Miller Events has announced that Sarah Miller, the brand’s longtime senior event producer, will take on the roles of president and owner. Courtney (Caplan) Young, Caplan Miller’s founder, has stepped down to focus on other personal and professional projects but will continue to consult for some of Caplan Miller’s signature events, the company said.

Hilton Dallas/Rockwall [Texas] Lakefront has named Cammie Peel catering sales manager. She will be responsible for business development, event coordination, and execution of all related catering activities for corporate and wedding clients.

EDP Global, headquartered in St. Paul, Minn., has added Across Morocco to its DMC partner network.

Tom Tillman has been named director of sales at Maple Ridge Events, based in Nashville, Tenn.

Washington-based Global DMC Partners, included on the latest Special Events “25 Top DMCs,” has announced the latest addition to its collection of nearly 70 independently owned DMCs with the addition of CTI Incentives and Events, based in Italy.

London-based Barbican Business Events has appointed Emma Dickinson as a new events manager.
