The International Live Events Association (ILEA) has introduced its lineup of volunteer leaders for the 2024-2025 term, including officers and directors of the ILEA International Board of Governors and the Regional Vice Presidents. The term begins on July 1, and these leaders will be officially welcomed during the 2024 Annual General Meeting at the ILEA annual conference, I-24, in Seattle, Washington, on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.

Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, the five-star hotel in the heart of Beverly Hills, announced the newest addition to the executive team with the recent appointment of David Martins as director of sales and marketing. In his new role, Martins is responsible for overseeing all sales and marketing initiatives at the award-winning property, along with achieving sales growth, developing new and existing markets, and driving commercial performance. Most recently, he oversaw sales and marketing at Waldorf Astoria Washington DC. Martins has worked in hospitality around the world, from Portugal to New York, and now Beverly Hills. 


Global Gifting has named Brett Hatch, a pioneer in the development of high-end gifting experiences for corporations and the meetings industry, and an illustrious leader with over 30 years of experience and numerous accolades in the corporate gifting and promotional marketing industries, as Senior Vice President Business Development. Prior to his new position, Hatch was Senior Director, Global Corporate Gifts at Maui Jim Sunglasses for 24 years and previously managed marketing at the largest promotional products supplier, Norwood Promotional Products. Throughout his career, Hatch has been actively involved with the industry, receiving numerous accolades, including the 2015 Incentive Marketing Association President’s Award, Incentive Magazine’s “25 Most Influential People in the Motivation Industry,” and 2019 Northstar Meetings Group’s “Top 25 Influencers of the Meetings Industry.” Additionally, he has served the industry with multiple years on the boards of the Incentive Marketing Association (IMA) and the Incentive Research Foundation (IRF), as well as mentoring numerous individuals in their incentive product careers.
