The events range from a party for up to 50 guests for $2,500 to a 350-guest party for $15,000. The pier offers 12 amusement rides, 21 midway games and an oceanfront food plaza. Barnsley Gardens Resort Offers Free Meeting Premiums
Barnsley Gardens Resort in Adairsville, Ga., now offers free meeting space, meeting coordination services and the choice of various amenities for planners who reserve an estate cottage; the amenities are a continental breakfast in the meeting room, a basic audiovisual package or a hospitality beer and wine reception for up to 13 guests. With the reservation of two cottages, companies receive an additional amenity choice and are allowed up to 22 guests. The offer is good for bookings before Nov. 30 and must take place by Feb. 28, 2010. The property is located 60 miles outside of Atlanta in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
New Yorker Hotel Offers Refurbished Meeting Space
Manhattan's New Yorker Hotel, located at 34th Street and Eighth Avenue near Javits Center, Penn Station and Madison Square Garden, has refurbished its meeting space as part of a $70 million renovation. The property's meeting space options include the 7,500-square-foot Grand Ballroom, which features a 30-foot ceiling and a balcony overlooking the main floor. The 3,250-square-foot Crystal Ballroom includes a 20-foot ceiling, an antique chandelier and rich velour window treatments. The Sky Lounge, on the 39th floor, can host receptions of up to 45 guests and offers views that encompass the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building.
