Scheduled to reopen in May as a Renaissance hotel, the Battle House Hotel in Mobile, Ala., is located on the site of U.S. president Andrew Jackson's military headquarters during the War of 1812. The 238-room hotel features 37,000 square feet of meeting space; the Crystal ballroom has a staircase entry and cathedral ceilings. An additional 200,000 square feet of meeting space is available at the nearby Mobile Convention Center. Dining options include the Trellis Room, with its show kitchen.
