CORPORATE SPECIAL EVENTS are big business, our readers say, but there is little hard data on this major industry segment. Special Events Magazine is proud to present the first study examining the corporate event marketplace.
HOW WE DID IT
The Primedia Business Marketing Research Department collected data in May 2002. A total of 1,183 Special Events Magazine subscribers categorized as corporate planners were selected on an nth name basis to receive an e-mail invitation directing them to a department Web site where the survey was located. The effective response rate was 22.1 percent (228 respondents). Research methods conform to accepted marketing industry standards.
The results: Corporate event planners are bullish on their business, with nearly 22 percent predicting an increase in spending in 2003. Read on to see how special events get down to business.
