London-based Chelsea Catering Co. has joined forces with coffee-roaster Costa Limited, also of London, to provide catering to the British Airways London Eye. The London Eye — “the world's largest observation wheel,” according to Martin Warner of Chelsea Catering — carries guests 450 feet high in enclosed “capsules,” which may be reserved for private parties of up to 20 guests. The entire wheel may also be reserved for special events.
Becky Wieczorek, public relations executive for Chelsea Catering parent company Crown Group, explained that Chelsea Catering will provide catering services through a partnership with Costa Limited, a British retail coffee enterprise with 240 U.K.-based stores, and the current refreshment supplier for the London Eye. Warner added that Chelsea Catering will serve “delicious, handmade canapes and finger food” at a “host of exclusive occasions from corporate hospitality and meetings to private parties” for groups of up to 500 guests.
