New Rendering Software Debuting from Cast
Cast Software announced the release of its third and final installment in its Wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) trilogy of rendering software. Version R24 offers pre-visualizations and renderings that are precisely what users will get on the set, in the venue or on the exterior of a building, the company says. The company's library of more than 20,000 lights, gobos, trusses, etc., mean the software will yield replicable renderings. The new time-of-day capability allows users to test ideas for outdoor events specific to a geographical location at a particular time.

Balloon Kit Makes Decorating Easy
The new E-Z Balloon Kit from Creative Balloons Manufacturing Inc. helps event decorators inflate, seal and string helium-filled balloons in just seconds, the manufacturer says. Two kit sizes are available—small, with 20 valved balloons, or large, with 50 balloons. Kits include one portable, recyclable helium tank. All components of the product—balloons, valves, ribbon, helium tank—have been safety-tested by an independent laboratory, the manufacturer says.

St. Louis All-Star Baseball Scenery for Rent
The Switch agency is now offering a one-of-a-kind series of dynamic St. Louis neighborhood scenic elements for rental. The scenes--which include the neighborhoods the Loop, the Hill, Central West End and Soulard—were created for Major League Baseball's 2009 All-Star Game Commissioner's Gala and pre-game celebration in St. Louis. The modular pieces can be retrofitted to form stage sets, themed entrances or room decor. Each neighborhood vignette features 45 feet of scenery that can be angled to fill a variety of spaces, from 12 feet to 16 feet.
