The new "Zero" disposable hot and cold cups from Eco-Products have had their carbon impact measured and fully offset, the company says, through a partnership with leading carbon offset provider Renewable Choice Energy. Eco-Products offers clients the ability to receive customized reports detailing the life-cycle impacts of their purchases, which helps in making accurate assessments of the environmental impact of purchasing decisions. Both the hot cup and cold cup meet ASTM standards for compostability. The Zero line joins the company's Green Stripe family of products—including plates, bowls, food containers and utensils--made from 100 percent renewable resources.

Icom Releases Waterproof Land Mobile Radio
The new F3031S series portable land mobile radio from Icom America combines superior waterproof construction and quick communications with an affordable price, the manufacturer says. With an IP67 rating against dust and water, the radio withstands water submersion of one meter (3.3 feet) for 30 minutes, according to the company. The waterproof Li-ion battery pack, which has been designed for use in extremely cold environments, runs almost 18 hours. The unit features 128 memory channels with eight zones and an 8-character alphanumeric LCD. Its "lone worker" function alerts a co-worker or dispatcher if the radio has not been operated for a set duration.
