At its 2002 World Education Congress on Sunday, Meeting Professionals International gave its new Global Paragon Award to Extraordinary Events, Los Angeles, and Delaney Marketing, Dublin, for Best Themed Event, and to Jack Morton Worldwide, New York, for Best Product Launch Event.
“In the face of numerous industry challenges, these companies demonstrated strategic planning, innovation and marketing to meet ROI objectives and provide memorable experiences,” said Edwin L. Griffin Jr., MPI president and CEO.
The awards were accepted by Andrea Michaels, president of Extraordinary Events, and Laura Shuler, executive vice president of Jack Morton.
The Extraordinary Events/Delaney event, an incentive event for 200 American executives visiting Ireland, won a Gala Award from Special Events Magazine in January.
