Olympics closing ceremony beats opening, readers say Special Events readers give slightly better ratings to the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games in London than the opening. Thirty-nine percent of respondents say the closing ceremony was "fantastic," versus 30 percent who said the same of the opening ceremony. Thirty-eight percent say the closing ceremony had hits and misses, while 45 percent said that about the opening ceremony. Only 22 percent of respondents say they didn't care for the closing ceremony, versus 25 percent who said that about the opening ceremony.
