Los Angeles-based Gourmet Celebrations announced last week that it has created a new corporate catering division offering gourmet cuisine and professional service around the clock.
Alan Entin, vice president of the high-end catering firm, said he saw the need for the division after the company was asked by law firms and businesses to provide breakfast, lunch and dinner during several high-profile mergers earlier this year.
"These clients knew we had the ability, the staff and the talent to provide them with any type of cuisine, any time of the day, anywhere," Entin said. "Since then, we found more need for this type of service in the fields of law, politics and business and created a dedicated division."
Gourmet Celebrations’ parent company, Air Gourmet, has provided gourmet meals around the clock for the private and corporate jets since 1986.
Additionally, Gourmet Celebrations has been awarded the exclusive catering contract at the new Jewish Community Center of Orange County in Newport Beach, Calif. The JCC opened the doors to its new $65-million center on August 1, and Gourmet Celebrations catered the opening event on August 3, introducing officials to its high-end kosher fare.
As the JCC's exclusive, in-house caterer, Gourmet Celebrations will staff and run center's glatt kosher kitchen and cater kosher events on-premise in the facilities event space, designed to hold 350 people for sit-down dinners. The catering firm will also provide a pareve menu at an on-premise café six days a week and a limited meat menu at the pool snack bar. Additionally, Gourmet Celebrations will serve a kosher lunch every school day to the students at Tarbut V'Torah High School next door to the center.
"Our new alliance with the JCC brings high-end kosher cuisine to not only the center, but the community," says Barry Saven, president of Gourmet Celebrations.
