Countryside, Ill.-based Chicago Party Rental has teamed with Addison, Ill.-based Braun Event and Tent. The merger creates the largest full-service event rental company in the Midwest, with combined annual revenue of $13 million, according to vice president of party rental operations Ben Shipper IV. Principals will include Shipper, Ben Shipper III as president and CEO, and Gary Braun as vice president of tent rental.
The two companies will continue to operate under their individual names, adopting the Chicago Party Rental brand within two years, Shipper explained. The merged company plans to move into a new 100,000-square-foot facility currently under construction in McCook, Ill.
Shipper noted that Chicago Party's two-year national marketing campaign has generated increased clientele, larger clients and a greater demand for one-stop shopping. The merger allows the company to “offer the most complete solution for events, from tenting to tabletop,” he said.
The newly merged operation features “not just a good breadth of inventory, but good depth in each line of products,” Shipper added. Inventory includes 55,000 folding chairs in a single style, more than 35 different sizes of tables and a range of newly purchased Losberger clear-span structures. The company can accommodate corporate events, festivals, sports events and smaller social events, and has recently supplied a sit-down dinner for 10,000 with matching place settings.
“As the company grows, the overall organizational structure will grow, and the need for management will grow,” Shipper said. “We're excited about what the merger can do for clients and for team members in our company.”
