A popular showcase event at The Special Event 2006--the Wedding Luncheon--is a sell-out, but there is still time to register for other events at the industry's premier trade show. The Special Event runs Jan. 10-13 in Dallas.
This year's conference features eight topic tracks consisting of more than 100 hours of programming, ranging from professional wedding planning to party rental operations to event design and management. The trade show floor will feature some 300 booths displaying the latest in goods and services for event professionals.
Although the Wedding Luncheon is at capacity, at press time tickets are still available for other showcasing events including Club Night, the NACE Welcome Event at Gilley's, the Opening Night Party, the Theme Lunch, the Leadership Brunch, and the Gala Awards and Celebration, slated for host hotel the Adam's Mark.
Other highlights returning this year are the Tabletop Gallery, featuring 10 dramatic tabletops from beautiful to whimsical, the "Gala boards" display of all Gala Awards nominees, and the Performance Stage on the show floor.
