Ritz-Carlton Charlotte Offers Summer Incentive Deal
The Ritz-Carlton Charlotte in Charlotte, N.C., has introduced a summer incentive offering for meeting planners who book new events between now and Labor Day weekend 2011. New programs will benefit from a range of event incentives, with the number of choices based on cumulative booked room nights. For 151 or more room-night bookings, eight incentives may be selected, while for 126 to 150 room-night bookings, seven choices are available. Six incentives may be selected for bookings of 101 to 125 room nights, and 75 to 100 room-night contracts qualify for five selections. Smaller meetings with programs of 51 to 75 room nights receive four upgrade options, and events with 26- to 50-room night events qualify for three selections. For 10- to 25-room-night events, planners may choose from two incentives. Incentives range from complimentary banquet breakfasts, welcome receptions, guest rooms and suites to discounts on room attrition and AV services.
Grand Traverse Resort Debuts Winter Meeting Deals
Located on 900 acres on Lake Michigan's Grand Traverse Bay, the Grand Traverse Resort has announced a special deal for planners who book events between Nov. 1, 2011, and April 30, 2012. Planners who book from 10 to 50 guestrooms per night can choose any two of the following options: a 1/35 comp policy; a reduced resort fee; a discount on spa treatments; two complimentary upgrades; complimentary general session room rental; a discount on AV; three gallons of free coffee with a purchased break service; and one hour complimentary use of winter sports equipment (snowshoes, cross country skis, ice skates). Planners who book 51 or more guestrooms may choose three of the above options. This offer is subject to availability. The property offers 600 rooms, suites and condominiums and 86,500 of flexible meeting and outdoor venue space.
Crustacean Team Opens Tiato in Santa Monica
Santa Monica, Calif.-based Tiato—the new restaurant from the family renowned for the Crustacean concept in San Francisco and Los Angeles—offer unique spaces for special events. Highlights of the space are high, honeycomb ceilings, raw concrete floors, reclaimed wood paneling and a wide range of lighting and sound options. The restaurant can seat 200 indoors and accommodates 500 guests standing; the outdoor garden accommodates 300 seated and 500 standing—it is the largest outdoor dining space in Santa Monica, outside of hotel properties. A private dining room for 12 boasts an antique reclaimed wood dining table and a large plasma TV.
