Wolfgang Puck Catering Offers Deals on Live Nation Venues
Planners who book a special event at two Live Nation venues served by Wolfgang Puck Catering—the Wiltern theater in Los Angeles or the Fillmore in San Francisco (pictured)—by Aug. 21 can save 15 percent on room rentals. The offer is based upon availability and applies to new bookings only. Opened in 1931, the Wiltern is an art deco landmark in the mid-Wilshire area. A landmark music venue for music in the 1960s under the direction of legendary impresario Bill Graham, the Fillmore is located at the intersection of Fillmore Street and Geary Boulevard.
Florida's Sole on the Ocean Debuts Summer Package
The new "summer meeting package" from Sole on the Ocean hotel in Sunny Isles Beach, Fla., offers group stays from $149 a night. Available now through Oct. 31, the package is applicable to groups of 10 rooms per night for a minimum three-night stay with two days of meetings. The package includes complimentary meeting space, free WiFi, one complimentary room per 400 room nights booked, and beach accessories such as towels, chairs and umbrellas. Offering a chic oceanfront setting, the 249-room property features a dedicated, on-site group coordinator, who can assist with motivational and teambuilding activities, sports and lessons.
New York's Nuela Offers South American Fare
Nuela, located in New York's Flatiron District, specializes in South American dishes such as arroz con pato (roasted duck with seared foie gras and rice), salmon with charred scallions and creamy quinoa, and lobster moqueca--butter-poached lobster with hearts of palm, bananas and cashews in coconut sauce. Specialties include vegetarian dishes and healthful cocktails. The restaurant can accommodate parties of 20 to 175 for sit-down events and up to 300 for cocktail receptions. The dramatic setting is suited to holiday parties, business luncheons and celebrations.
