With more than 30 years of experience in the party rental industry, John Dawson knows special events. Even after a four-year break from the industry, his new rental company, Please B Seated, booked four events in its very first week of business earlier this year. But starting a company in 2013 proved to be a much different challenge for this industry veteran, who opened his first venture, Tristate Party Rentals, in 1977.
