Venue One Debuts Culinary Program
Venue One—an event space located in Chicago's West Loop neighborhood—has launched a new culinary program featuring food and beverage packages from its restaurant-caliber on-site kitchen. The facility offers 25,000 square feet of customizable event space suitable for intimate gatherings up to a sit-down dinner for up to 500 and receptions for up to 800. Pacific Ballroom Debuts at Long Beach Convention Center
The new Pacific Ballroom at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center in Long Beach, Calif., is a loft-style space featuring a flying steel-truss grid system that can be raised or lowered in minutes to transform the ceiling height. The 45,000 square foot space can be configured in various ways, from settings for small groups or concerts for 3,000. With the curtains and grid raised, the arena can seat up to 13,000.
Cavallo Point Lodge Wins Sustainability Award
The 142-room Cavallo Point Lodge near San Francisco has been honored for its commitment to sustainability by Travel + Leisure magazine. Located at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge in Sausalito, Calif., the property's management stresses recycling, water conservation and energy efficiency. Features include event and meeting space, a spa, cooking school, retail shop, art gallery and activities such as hiking.
