Los Angeles-based Classic Party Rentals announced today that Jeff Black has been named president and CEO.
The biggest party rental company in the U.S., Classic has long been No. 1 on the Special Events "30 Top Event Rental Companies" list.
Black replaces Pedro Mata, who has led the company for the past two years. Mata "will be retiring to pursue other opportunities," the company said in the statement.
FORMER ARAMARK EXEC
Black comes to Classic from ARAMARK Uniform Services, where he worked for the past 17 years in a variety of leadership positions and most recently as the vice president of customer care and general manager of Aramark Japan, according to a statement from Classic. His "customer-centric vision and his philosophy of creating a strong culture that begins with integrity and emphasizes building great teams was a key draw for Classic," the company said, adding, that he "is a tireless competitor who will work relentlessly to ensure Classic Party Rentals continues to improve and innovate on its extensive products and services."
Classic operates nearly 40 locations including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta and Dallas. Its high-profile event roster includes major sporting events, brand promotion tours, Hollywood awards shows, movie premieres, celebrity weddings, charity events and private social events.
