Logan Square Kitchen Offers "Green" Event Space
Chicago's Logan Square Kitchen, which will offer an open house for event planners on Sept. 28, is an LEED Gold-rated event space and commercial kitchen. Event space in the 96-year-old building can hold up to 75 guests for seated dinners. Amenities include a sound system with iPod dock, WiFi, ice machine and 64 chairs. Exposed brick, period woodwork and a plush theater curtain provide a vintage atmosphere. Three separate galleys in the kitchen are available to rent by the hour, enabling chefs and farmers to develop micro food enterprises, management says.

Terminal 5 Offers Holiday Party Package
New York event venue Terminal 5 has introduced a holiday party package of $80 per person. The package includes a three-hour party featuring the venue's state-of-the-art sound and lighting system, full bar, bar staff, lounge furniture, tables and chairs, holiday menu and security, management says. The multilevel venue offers 40-foot ceilings and unobstructed sight lines, with ground-floor load-in and -out. A sample menu includes passed and stationary hors d'oeuvre, a buffet with salad, pesto-marinated chicken, and penne with vodka sauce, and dessert.

Sawgrass Marriott Debuts Value-based Meetings Program
The new Meet, Eat & Save program at the Sawgrass Marriott in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., provides an inclusive catering package as part of group room rates to planners who book new business at the property between Sept. 1 and Dec. 31, 2009, that falls between Sept. 15 and Dec. 31, 2009, or Aug. 1 and Dec. 31, 2010. The catering package includes a Continental breakfast, a morning break, lunch and afternoon break for each attendee. The property offers 56,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, a 25,000-square-foot spa and the newly renovated Cabana Club beach club.
