It’s officially golf tournament season!
The streets of Scottsdale, Ariz., bustled with visitors for the annual Waste Management Phoenix Open. For an entire record-breaking week, the TPC Scottsdale was a social mecca for golf enthusiasts and socialites alike. Over 618,000 attendees visited TPC Scottsdale during the annual tournament, making it the highest attended WMPO event to date.
Kelsey Rausch (PRO EM Party & Event Rentals, left) and Brandon Aylesworth (CORT Event Furnishings, right) worked together to design the hugely successful Waste Management Phoenix Open at the TPC Scottsdale.
The event, put together every year by the talented team at PRO EM Party & Event Rentals, was a monumental success. Event planner powerhouse Kelsey Rausch was the mastermind behind the design and decor of the event. As the recipient of two ISES Arizona Zonie Awards, Kelsey has made quite the name for herself in the events industry. “I found my passion for events while I was going to school at the University of Arizona” says Rausch. “I was always hosting dinner parties and themed events for my friends and family.” Upon moving back to Phoenix, Rausch started her career at PRO EM Party & Event Rentals.
Spots to socialize
Comfortable banquettes were used to create beautiful seating areas for attendees to view the golf tournament in style.
The WMPO includes many different areas designed for socializing at the TPC Scottsdale. Some of the most memorable areas include the Bay Club, the Greenskeeper, the Loge, and the 16th Hole. “Each area has a different theme and vibe, so it’s like being transported into a different world as you travel through the course” says Rausch. In 2015, a record number of over 560,000 attendees visited TPC Scottsdale for the golf event and over $9 million was raised in charitable contributions.
PRO EM Party & Event Rentals has been a proud partner with CORT Event Furnishings for many years but in 2014, the relationship strengthened when planning for the 2015 Waste Management Open began. “CORT really made an impression with the powerful level of service, the quality of furniture and the overall execution” says Rausch. “PRO EM was very excited to welcome back CORT for another fantastic year at the WMPO!”
Custom graphics tell the story
Custom graphics were created to brand bar tables in various seating areas around the TPC Scottsdale.
Brandon Aylesworth, account executive for CORT Event Furnishings in Arizona, assisted Rausch on the huge event. Aylesworth’s extensive knowledge of CORT products and exuberant passion for the events industry helped Rausch plan a successful event. “Brandon was always there when we needed help during the planning process and has made the execution of the event seamless” says Rausch of the overall planning process for the past WMPO events.
What set CORT Event Furnishings apart from other furniture rental companies? “CORT has a very large and unique selection of high-end product which is very important for an event this large that has so many themes. Also, the willingness to work with us at such high speeds and continuously execute at high levels makes PRO EM and CORT a great fit!” says Rausch.
The WMPO is a perfect example of an award-winning event produced through the partnership of two event companies working together to produce amazing results. Congratulations to PRO EM Party & Event Rentals on another successful event and kudos to Brandon Aylesworth of CORT Event Furnishings for playing an vital role in the success of such a high profile event!
