Stacy McWatters, former sales person and project manager for Los Angeles-based Academy Tent & Canvas, has formed Axis Project Management, a Newport Beach, Calif.-based consultancy offering services including pre-event consulting, project management and site logistics, with an emphasis on project management for the tent rental and manufacturing industry.
As this Web site has reported, industry fixture Academy closed its doors on Feb. 13, sending shock waves through the event community.
"Axis Project Management is a unique company within the industry,” McWatters told Special Events Magazine. “Our focus is primarily on tent and structure related projects. APM can fulfill the needs of tent and structure manufactures that require experienced project managers for all types of installations. I don't know of any company that offers this specialized type of service."
