Trendy Chicago nightclub Crobar was a hit at the kickoff bash last month for the 2005-06 season of the Greater Chicago Chapter of NACE. The event attracted 350 chapter members and industry guests who joined in for a lively evening of food, spirits, dancing and networking including such highlights as “wall-walking" waiters. Along with its fun side, the event raised $320 for the NACE Foundation Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund.
Chapter president Ryan Verhulst, CMP, director of event planning at the Marriott Chicago O'Hare, welcomed the audience, accompanied by dignitaries including Kevin Brant, CPCE, NACE national president, and Abby Fitzpatrick, CPCE, Region III vice president.
Event elements came from a wide range of sponsors, including venue Crobar; appetizers by Designed Cuisine, A Catering by Michael’s Co.; beverages by Boston Beer Co., St. Michelle Wine Estates, Absolut Vodka, Level Vodka and Southcorp Wines; tables and linens by Chicago Party Rentals; service trays and back of the house items from Hall's Rental Service; and music and professional dancers from Spinnin' Discs DJ Service. Edward Fox Photography was on hand to capture every moment of the event.
