Evansville, Ind.-based Anchor Industries has announced it will team with Brumath, France-based Groupe Walter to bring European straight-line clear-span structures to the U.S. rental market.
As a result of the alliance, Anchor will become the exclusive distributor of Walter clear-spans in the United States, according to Anchor advertising and marketing manager Mary Ann Mays. The company will focus on Walter's 10-meter through 40-meter Standard and Multi-Standard models, which feature accessories including cassette flooring, rigid walls and double doors.
Mays said that flexibility in sizing combined with the rigid-wall option makes Walter clear-spans ideal for events requiring solid temporary or semi-permanent tent structures. Conferences, trade shows, fashion shows and municipal celebrations are among events that will benefit from the new clear-spans, she added.
“We're trading a lot of information between the companies,” Mays said. “We can always learn from one another.” Besides information, Anchor will provide Walter with New Century tension tents, which the French company plans to introduce to the European market. The New Century tents, which Mays said were certified several years ago to meet European standards, are “something that's new to Europe and the rest of the world.” Walter believes the European market “will be very receptive to them,” she added.
