Boston labor strife resolved Boston hoteliers and Unite Here Local 26, the union that represents hotel workers in Boston, have ended their standoff by agreeing to a new six-year deal covering 5,000 workers at 19 hotels. The deal covers four Starwood properties--Sheraton Boston, Boston Park Plaza, Westin Boston Waterfront and Westin Copley Place. The other 15 hotels signed "me too" agreements ...

Jazz Fest swings The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, which ended Sunday, drew 375,000 attendees, the highest since 2003. "It felt so incredible to see the festival back in full swing and with the addition of wine and champagne available this year who couldn't pass a good time in the Big Easy!" Kellie Mathas, CSEP, CMP, director of special events for USA Hosts in New Orleans tells Special Events. "We are proud of our local festival producer, Quint Davis and his team at Festival Productions, for producing perhaps the best event the city has to offer and showcasing all of what is uniquely New Orleans.
